Pakistan suspend central contract Zulqarnain Haider

Haider left hotel team of the on the eve of the fifth international day to fly to London and Dubai Monday.

24-Year-old claims since it abandoned the team because he had received death threats after hitting save runs in the fourth ODI Friday.

Reports have suggested that the player has also sought asylum in United Kingdom with fears about the sound and the safety of his family in Pakistan.

PCB opened an investigation into the case and after revealing that they have not come into contact with their wicketkeeper, confirmed his contract was suspended until further notice.

"(The) PCB suspended Mr Zulqarnain Haider contract for violating the terms and conditions," the statement read.

"A Committee of inquiry was made to establish the facts surrounding the incident of the disappearance of Mr Haider hotel team."

"The Committee consists of Dr. Subhan Ahmad (PCBs), Mr. Intikhab Alam (Pakistan team leader) and major Khawaja Najam (team Pakistan security crèche) .the Committee will meet shortly.

PCB strives to get in touch with Mr Haider, but attempts to contact him is remained stranded far.

"Some other comments are up to what additional information is available with PCBs."

International Cricket Council confirmed that Haider made contact with their unit to fight against corruption Tuesday evening.
