The ashes: the history feels fairly darn good, said Jonathan Trott England

To beat the Australia by an innings three times in the same series is an extraordinary achievement. Just look at the smiles on the faces of people, you can say that we have done something amazing.

There were so many great moments, and when I look back over the month last I see a collage of lot of hard work and memories.

Brisbane now seems so far away, it's ridiculous. But if I were to choose a strong point, I would go probably for descent of Simon Katich Adelaide: it was pretty special.

He was also the second spacewalk in Melbourne where I managed to get rid of Phil Hughes. It was a satisfactory time because I had been batting all morning and most of the previous day.

To be able to cut them off the coast when they went to a single tight - that is the kind of comprehensive cricket players we want to be. With Paul Collingwood's retirement, I will work hard on my medium-pace bowling, because I want to be able to help with a few overs here or there.
