Before the start of this series in the competition would have been charged as the tortoise versus the Hare, but with Cook showing a greed for speed at the Trent bridge Wednesday night by making 95 off the coast of 75 balls, it is not a surprise to learn that he leaves Pietersen in his wake of matter.

Cook knows that he still has a long way to travel before it convinces everyone to its attributes of a day, but his opening partner, Craig Kieswetter, believes that it already shows signs of emulation of Englandbest opener in limited-overs cricket, Marcus Trescothick.

"There certainly strike the ball as hard as he [Trescothick] is more calm than him in the Middle," Kieswetter said, speak of the fourth international day against sri Lanka at Trent Bridge. "He made me feel quite at home because he felt that I played in Taunton for a period of time."

"Her first ball that he overloaded through mid-off for four that I thought, ' Here we go I'll have to play second violin and give him the strike". The manner in which it is to hit the ball is fantastic. It come off the coast of his innings is as a weapon to fire shot then I am more than happy to keep this blows until the third-man and fine-leg to give the strike. It was supposed to be the opposite. Kieswetter was to be the one to provide the spark.

"We two must be adaptable, because if one of us knows a prospectus is not on the competition with your partner," he said. "It is to build a relationship to understand how the other guy will and as long as I'm side a good start with Cooky, I am not bothered about what my role as shadow copy is.."

Kieswetter also learned to not take anything granted. Winner of the man of the match award in the world of final ttwweennttyy last year was supposed to be the springboard for Kieswetter, but it was abandoned later this summer. He has shown his desire to play for England by taking advice of Andy Flower and skip the Indian Premier League earlier this summer. He has also worked hard and Graham Thorpe, England and Wales Cricket Board the coach, his technique and eliminated his habit to stick keeps out the strain of the leg which left him only capable of marking on the outer side.

"You appreciate what you have when you have it." Play cricket for England is something, I am proud to be part of, said Kieswetter. "To be back to the environment is a humbling and great pleasure." I had to put lot of hard work to return. I the lessons of last year were massive and I needed to go through this mental process out of this rollercoaster much stronger and better person. »
